Cat Adoption Information

At Mad Dogs and Crazy Cats,

in partnership with Angels for Animals of Canfield,

we will be fostering and showcasing fully-vetted

cats and kittens who are ready for adoption.

Angels' adoption programs are a great way to get a pet.

An adoption fee is required when adopting an Angels animal,

which covers part of the costs for the animal's care at the shelter.

The health care plan for most cats costs the shelter between $200 - $300

and the care is made possible only by donations of time by

loving volunteers and the wonderful service of our shelter veterinarians

with assistance from local veterinarians.

All adopted pets have a life-long right of return.

Angels does follow-up checks on adopted animals to ensure that

their owners are abiding by their contract and that the animals are happy and healthy.

These follow ups may include phone calls or home visits.

Frequently Asked Questions:

Can I take a pet home the same day I adopt it?

Most of our cats are ready to go home right away,

but some may need a medical checkup before they leave.

Can I surrender a cat directly to the Café?

Not at this time. For the safety of our other cats,

all surrendered animals must be processed by

Angels for Animals of Canfield in order to be fully-vetted

before they can interact with our cats here at the Café.
